We lead the way, and others follow.

We prioritise quality and innovation so that our customers get the best product. All of our trailers now have Duratorque / Torsion axle suspension, so you won't have to worry about noisy or rusting springs anymore.

More information:

    • Dependable: The torsion axle uses a seamless steel tube, rubber cords, solid torsion bar, and forged swing-arm, the axle components have higher strength.

    • Independent suspension & smooth ride: The torsion end unit withstands suspension travel and shock absorption, each wheel works independently from the other side.

    • Without metal impact & no-noise: Rubber cords connect the torsion bar and axle tube, so when the trailer is running, the inner rubber withstands the impact and recovers to the original position. Whereas leaf spring axles have U bolts connecting the axle to leaf springs which attach to the frame and generally hang loose under the trailers so it is metal to metal impact when your trailers is driving on our rough road conditions causing more wear and noise.

    • Maintenance: torsion axles don’t have to use leaf spring, U Bolts, and mounting plates. So there is much less maintenance and wear whereas leaf springs are continually rubbing and chafing causing wear and rust and more to go wrong with U Bolts and plates holding it all together which rust and deteriorate.

  • Rubber Torsion offers a smooth refined ride with a first-class towing experience and have increased rigidity with the axle bolted directly to the trailer frame. This gives a smooth and quiet ride which leads to a better towing experience. The benefits are endless.

Sealed for life wheel bearings paired with rubber torsion suspension, makes our trailers almost maintenance free with little to no wearing parts. That means less hassle with no bushes to replace and no more rusty springs.

Welcome to Omega Trailers

  • Omega Trailers is run by Kiwis for Kiwis.

Boats, Boat Trailers and Vehicle Trailers are part of our everyday life.

We use them ourselves whether its for the Boat, Buggy or Building work we have used trailers and understand what is required from a trailer.

  • We design our own Boat Trailers which are then built and hot-dip galvanised overseas to our high quality specifications using thicker steel than other boat trailers in most cases and then assembled here in New Zealand.

  • We use 4mm thick steel box section on most models which generally creates a thicker galvanised coating.

The hot-dip galvanizing process involves immersing steel in molten zinc, and the thickness of the resulting zinc-iron alloy coating is directly influenced by the steel's thickness and composition.

  • WE JUST DO TRAILERS, not boats, not tractors, nor diggers or lawn mowers, BIG or small TRAILERS ARE OUR PRIORITY!

  • I highly recommend Omega Trailers! We purchased a boat trailer (OM545) for our 2009 Surtees 5.5m Workmate Hardtop, and it’s been perfect. The trailer is fully adjustable, allowing us to tailor it to suit our boat exactly. Brent was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, from start to finish, and even after we collected the trailer, he provided clear instructions on how to make adjustments. Excellent service and a top-quality trailer!
